Each time Mercury goes retrograde there is a theme or a flavor to it. This year all the Mercury Retrogrades are in water signs. We also have Saturn in Scorpio and Neptune in Pisces which are water signs. The most interesting thing about this particular Mercury retrograde period is that less than 24 hours before Mercury goes retrograde Jupiter will enter the sign of Cancer (for about a year) – even more water!
Water is about our gut level feelings; the things we just know. We need to be especially mindful at these times to be kind to ourselves as well as others so as not to confuse what we feel with how we act about those feelings.
An important day for tuning into the deep message Mercury might have for you is on July 9 when it conjuncts the Sun. A bit of reflection in the afternoon would go a long way!

So interesting that this is in a water sign! Since going retro, we have had issues with the machinery that govern our plumbing and water systems: the workings of the faucets, commodes, clothes and dishwasher, and of course a friend going to Hawaii ..! Going from a rainy climate to a dry climate and having to water the gardens and grass. I am Scorpio with Cancer rising, so water is fine with me. Only, I like it to behave, not be where it is not wanted, and in general just be the cooling summer aspect. Blessings!
