Mercury is now direct here IN Toronto as of 9:57am here in Toronto. How did you experience the retrograde energy of the past few weeks? Time to share the stories.
This time around experiences of my own highlighted the benefit of being aligned.
First of all my favorite kitchen appliance was out of commission and needed to be replaced – a food processor. I have have not bought one in 30 years! Thankfully they are way down in price and an inexpensive one for $79 was on sale for $40 at my local Canadian Tire. Online they indicated 7 were available in my local store. It seemed like a great deal and given Julie’s advice that Mercury Retrograde is good for a sale it seemed to transcend the DON’T BUY APPLIANCE rule. I raced to the store to find none on the shelf. Hmmm. The part time student staff did their best and could not understand why inventory indicated there were 7 but none were on the shelf. I was patient (an AMR quality) and proceeded to leave when the information person at the front desk asked how I made out. She went the distance and discovered they were close by – still on the truck. So she gave me a rain check and said to call back. Next day I called and a sales staff said yes now they are in the warehouse ….how many did i want? (I think one is enough! LOL). He then asked cautiously when was I coming. “In 20 minutes” I replied. He gave me the aisle number. When i arrived.. I did not immediately find it but the sales clerk did… there was now just ONE LEFT! It was mine. I spotted 2 other shoppers with the same model under their arms. The delay and second trip seemed all worth the trouble to be able to get my appliance at a great price. So far it is working better than the old one.
Next, my kitchen over-head light became problematic. Recently, light bulbs burn out quickly and this time it was stuck. The glass cover impossible to remove. The superintendent started to fix this when he paused and asked would you like a new overhead unit? You would have to wait 2 days before they arrive. I gladly agreed feeling once again that the Mercury retrograde delay was well worth it AND IT WAS!!!! I have a new lamp that keeps out the flies. I love it.
My last notable experience happened while hosting the online training sessions I do with Resonance Repatterning teacher Ardis Ozborn. We are healers at heart so to pull off this live video conferenced class with 9 participants from around the world is always a technological wonder for me. The 3 hour class was underway when the instructor’s video screen froze , went dark and then off line. Worse when I phoned her there was a recorded message that the internet/phone system was down for a small geographical area.
The instructor did manage to contact me via cell phone and we made a plan for the first part of the class. We stayed calm and by break time 40 minutes later, she was back online. In the end we did an additional hour of class time later in the week that proved to be invaluable to the class learning. In every problem there is an opportunity!
How was this Mercury retrograde period for you? Comments welcomed!

Flavor of Mercury Retro January 2016
This Mercury Retrograde period starts in Aquarius but will retrograde back to Capricorn, issuing in a year of Mercury retrograde in earth signs. Each one will be a time to slow down and look at what we are trying to make or un-make. It has a very ‘real world’ feel to it: Not happening in the mind alone. The general Mercury Retrograde theory is that we should be reflective at this time. In this case we should be reflective about what we are making our world into: And how. Most definitely we should think twice and hammer once.
Mercury retrogrades back into Capricorn on the 8th. Bringing in the ‘real world’ theme.
On the 14th it will conjunct the Sun which is the most important day of a retrograde period because it is when, if you listen, you will hear what you need to hear regarding your issues. It will also trine Jupiter on the same day suggesting a really viable means of accomplishing the task.
Square Uranus on the 20th which adds a bit of chaos to the retrograde period.
Conjunct Pluto on the 22nd suggesting that this is a ‘for real’ time and don’t pretend otherwise!
Mercury will go direct on the 25th and do these things again once more; which will be the ‘proof’ of what we learned during the retrograde.
