Aligned for Mercury Retrograde

Watery thoughts arise like mermaids from a sea of powerful feelings and motivate our actions. To become aware of how you feel requires that you sit and listen to the river running deep beneath the awareness of your mind. You could do this right here; right now.

Themes: The overall general theme of Mercury retrograde is about reflection. It offers us a time to be more reflective about our lives, to contemplate and to create order by eliminating things that block our clarity. Therefore it is a good time to write, to meditate, to retreat and to organize. Based on the sign it is in at the time it makes this journey, we find more specific direction about what is required at this time.

If you were born under the influence of a retrograde Mercury the ‘rules’ are a bit different for you. Where others should hold back you may step forward. The implication is that you are already attuned to your inner voice and the retrograde just makes that stronger. I believe it is useful and important (as with any astrological information) to see how it plays out for you personally. Blind acceptance is not required.

This particular dance of Mercury Retrograde will be in the watery sign of Pisces.  Pisces is a sign about feelings and is very sensitive to the undercurrents of feeling in any situation. The danger is projection and blame. The joy of this retrograde period is a deep stillness at the core of the Self. We can retreat and truly know how we feel.

Look for and find the possibility of empowerment. What is needed is the ability to look truth in the eye and work with it rather than attempting to suppress or deny what you know to be there.

The heart/mind is easily shattered by restless, superficial aspects of mind.  We want distraction. Or do we? It’s all good if it isn’t eating away at more important things.
