Getting on with it (as opposed to getting it on…)

Mercury has gone direct and maybe you are breathing a sigh of relief because you know this intellectually or maybe you actually feel a subtle but noticeable shift in energy. See if you can tell the difference!

Go Ahead and Sign That Contract – Mercury is Direct

Are you feeling a sense of relief over life in general and for no known reason?   Could be you are in touch with the planetary motions of Mercury going direct.   You will suddenly find things easing up, the communication a little smoother, your computer co-operates and texting is not such a strain on your thumbs!

During this past retrograde I managed to clear out 2 critical desk drawers and completed some unfinished small quilt projects.  Organically, the projects requiring skill, focus, concentration and new neuronets just sat in the basket waiting for a sunnier day.  LOL – My 12 Days of Christmas Quilt will be aligned!

The worst of any retrograde for a Capricorn like me is the anxiety of not doing new things.  You have to sit on your hands.  The payoff is putting the rest of the house in order so that the blueprints of the new projects are grounded and supported in their implementation.

How about you?  What was the best and worst of this retrograde period for you? August 20-September 12th?

All the best,

Carolyn

Julie’s Retrograde thoughts for Virgo

Well I have surely endured the antics of the trickster since August 20th. Today was the final straw when the dial on my toaster oven broke. I now need pliers to bake or toast. But that doesn’t give rise to useful insights. It’s just irritating.

On a more profound level I had another Virgo situation with a rash that broke out around my lips making me look like Ronald McDonald’s mother (I thought). In true retrograde fashion it was a recurrence in that it had happened in July as well. I thought i had figured it out. In dealing with it I see how Virgo is about service, practical service. It’s about the little things that we don’t really think of unless and until they go wrong at which time they can really compromise the peace of our lives (things like bad health or swollen, itchy lips). In the retrograde quality of the moment I went back to someone who has helped me before with allergic reactions. From this I gained a practical, mundane understanding of the possible causes of my burning lips. It isn’t the symbolic that is helping me at the moment (they are improving) it’s the actual, earth-based reality of my body’s needs and the ministrations of helpers that is making the difference.  Such is the essence of Virgo.

Carolyn’s AMR Journal Entry #2

August 30th – Not sure why I went and checked my email service that sends out program notices for things like M-MPMP or Aligned for Mercury Retrograde, but sure enough, messages that were suppose to have left the outbox were still there.  Could swear I had already pressed the ‘send’ button.  Good thing I checked.

September 1st – More Mercury alignments happening.  Forgot to mention that last week, I spontaneously had the urge to clean out and reorganize 2 desk drawers.  One is now a dedicated drawer for sewing/quilting tools and the other for old-fashioned cards and correspondence.  Trivial, I know, but these are things that having been blocking my psyche for months – never being able to find those great cards created by my friend Jane (at JaneWalkersCards) or my special quilting tools, obscure threads or beads.   Finally – it’s all in one spot.

September 2nd – In Mercury’s shadow I had decided to organize my various quilt projects and managed to get at least the littles ones done. The big project “The Twelve Days Of Christmas” quilt still has the 12 blocks sitting in a basket waiting for the detailed embroidery.  I am procrastinating but perhaps the illuminating energy of September 3rd as pointed out by Julie will get me going this weekend.

How are you experiencing Mercury retrograde?  Comments welcomed!
